  • 36 years of experience in energy investment banking, corporate finance, and strategic advisory

  • Co-founded Rivington Holdings in 2002, leads the firm's business development activity and overall corporate strategy

  • Prior to founding Rivington Holdings, served as a founding partner and Chief Financial Officer of Shenandoah Energy Inc., a privately held upstream and midstream energy company focused on the Rocky Mountain region. Shenandoah was acquired by Questar Corp. in July 2001 for approximately $420 million, generating an internal rate of return (IRR) exceeding 100% for its equity investors

  • From 1992 to 1999, was with ING Baring Furman Selz LLC in New York, where he originated and executed corporate finance and investment banking transactions for small and mid-cap upstream energy companies

  • Began his finance career in the Petroleum & Minerals Group at First City, Texas Bancorp in Houston, serving from 1990 to 1992

  • Previously served on the Board of Managers of Larchmont Resources, LLC, a private, institutionally backed independent oil and gas producer with interests in more than 2,500 producing wells across seven states

  • Currently serves on the Chancellor's Council for The University of Texas System and formerly chaired the Executive Advisory Committee for the Department of Economics at The University of Texas at Austin

  • Earned a B.A. in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin

Scott Logan

  • Co-founded Rivington Holdings in 2002 ​

  • 28 plus years of commercial and investment banking, corporate finance and advisory roles within the oil and gas industry​

  • Responsible for the firm’s operations including regulatory compliance and management of Rivington’s broker dealer, Rivington Securities​

  • Started his energy lending career in the Natural Resources Group of ING Baring Furman Selz in 1997, followed by a similar role with BankBoston’s Energy & Utilities Group​

  • Immediately prior to founding Rivington, Scott worked with McDonald Investment’s Energy Investment Banking Group focusing on public equity issuances and sell-side M&A assignments​

  • B.A. in History from Southern Methodist University and a M.S. in Finance from the University of Denver​

Partner & COO

Mark Olivier

  • Joined Rivington Holdings in 2012 and has over 19 years of corporate and investment banking experience in the oil and gas industry​

  • Primarily focused on business development initiatives and transaction execution for equity and credit private placements​

  • Prior experience includes execution and portfolio management roles in J.P. Morgan’s Corporate Client Banking Energy Group as well asunder writing and structuring roles with GE Energy Financial Services with a focus on stretch debt and equity partnerships for E&P companies​

  • Began energy banking career with Merrill Lynch Capital with a focus on syndicated leveraged loans for public and private upstream clients​

  • B.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Texas Christian University and an M.B.A. from Rice University’s Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management​
